Brawl brings even more Melee stages back from the past
Following a week-long hiatus, the Smash Bros. Dojo!! weekly updates return this morning with a second round of past Melee stages that will appear in Brawl. Five more stages have been announced, bringing the total number of confirmed returning stages to six.
In a previous update we learned that Hyrule Temple would be included in Brawl, and this morning we are told that Yoshi’s Island, Corneria, Onett, Brinstar, and Rainbow Ride will all be joining the growing list of returning past stages. With these five levels added in, the total number of confirmed stages is now 25. That adds up to quite a bit of variety in playable stages, which should be quite exciting for all Smash Bros. fans out there.
Images of the stages featured in today’s update can be found after the break.

Great. I’ll be familiar with the maps that I’m getting smashed off…
i saw the update last night and was wondering why it said “yoshi’s island” but the pictures actually correspond to a mushroom kingdom type level.
The Yoshi’s Island map is modeled after Super Mario World, which not only was the first game to feature Yoshi, but was also set in a land foreign to the Mushroom Kingdom called Yoshi’s Island. One key sign of this is that the music for this stage from Melee was a re-mixed version of the main music from Super Mario World.
Hope that cleared up any confusion. :)
oh coo, thanks!
Sweet, Brinstar is back!
