Zero Punctuation reviews Super Mario Galaxy

Wait, since when is it Wednesday? While it might not feel like hump day today, at least we are treated to another Zero Punctuation review. This time, Yahtzee takes on our game of the year, Super Mario Galaxy.

My favorite line: “Criticizing a Wii game for being gimmicky at this point is like criticizing a midget for being short.” One of my new years resolutions is to stop saying that Zero Punctuation is NSFW, because if you haven’t figured this out by now, you should probably just find out the hard extremely funny, yet true, way.

Love the game but damn.. can’t argue with the points. Or if I could, I completely forgot my argument due to the speed of the review.

    I love these reviews. Glee.

omg. I loved the tie in at the end with Jason. Fan-****ing-tastic.

And he forgot to include “joeys” in the category with those who actually beat the game.

So why is the gamecube controller better? I don’t get it. Flicking your wrist isn’t hard, it didn’t bother me at all.

I’m getting kind of tired of these things. I don’t understand how he can be so critical of a pure fun game. There really isn’t anything bad to say about Super Mario Galaxy. His points were basically that it’s only good because it follows a crappy game, that the Mario vs. Bowser thing is getting old, and that the Wii’s controller made his wrist hurt.

Maybe it’s just because I like to look at some things with an overly optimistic view, but I wish just once Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw could praise a game and not find the tiny little faults and flaws and make it out to be a huge deal.

I suppose Zero Punctuation is really humor first though, so I’ll give him a break. Because I have to admit, he’s hilarious.
