With Brawl development out of the way, director Masahiro Sakurai and his team will be taking a break from the daily updates featured on the Smash Bros. DOJO!! website next week. Updates resume January 7th, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get new information on the game between last night’s update and January 7th’s.
A translation of someone’s impressions on the game from Jump Festa have revealed several new minor bits of info. Princess Rosalina, from Super Mario Galaxy, will be making her appearance in Brawl as an Assist Trophy, though the impressions don’t really say what she does… Also revealed as an Assist Trophy is Duster, who most of you don’t know as a character from Mother 3 in Japan. Fans of Kirby will be happy to hear that playing as him in Brawl feels less like his Melee appearance and more like his original on the N64. Fox fans, well, it seems his attacks may be slightly weaker.
Lastly, it appears that the Pokémon Trainer will shout out the names of each Pokémon he sends out. Anyone else hoping for Veronica Taylor to be voicing the English lines?
