Super Smash Bros. goes “gold” for the first time since 2001
Ah, SmashBoards. You take the Smash Bros. obsession to an unhealthy level. We still like you, though, especially when you let us know when the next big game on everyone’s list is ready for the masses.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl has reportedly gone “gold.” What’s that mean? It means they’ve started printing the game discs for retail release. With the game now less than a month away from launch in Japan, one would hope the game is in post-production by now - Brawl isn’t going to sell a bajillion copies by starting up the disc pressing machines in mid-January.
The North American versions are likely also lined up to be pressed soon, if Nintendo hasn’t already begun that is. Just think. Your copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl could already be sitting in a warehouse somewhere. Excited?
