Jun Senoue brings Angel Island Zone music to Brawl
Jun Senoue is one of my favorite musicians in the video game industry. Not only has he been working on Sonic music for forever, but his band Crush 40 has been reaching beyond the game series to record other songs for their albums as well. Anyway, Jun Senoue has apparently joined the ginormous effort that is the creation of Super Smash Bros. Brawl by contributing an arrangement of the Angel Island Zone music from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
With both “Live and Learn” and “Angel Island Zone” included in the game, it’s pretty much a given that Sonic will also have his own stage. But then again, was there ever any doubt? Also, since Angel Island was where we first met Knuckles… ah, well, you know where I’m going with it. Let the speculation begin!
Have a listen to the new recording of the Angel Island Zone music below. It’s the got the classic recognizable theme but with Jun Senoue’s signature guitar style. Rock on.
