Australia gets last shipment of Wii for 2007

071219wiisoldout.jpgJust like the rest of the world, finding the Wii has become a game in itself for Australians. You’re finding most stores across the country sold out, and the little stock that Sydney stores do have isn’t expected to last until the weekend. Unfortunately for you Aussies, that’s pretty much it for the holidays. A spokesperson for Myer had this to say:

“They’re selling like hotcakes. Once the current deliveries sell, we’re not receiving any more until the early New Year.”

Nintendo’s Heather Murphy says they’re aware that many of you won’t be able to get a Wii this summer (oh yeah, it’s summer there…), which is obviously regrettable. Don’t worry, they’re out pretty much everywhere else. It’s gotten to the point where Nintendo and GameStop are handing out WiiOUs.
