Now, we all know I’m a huge advocate against game hacks, piracy, or any other kind of unethical use of commercial video games. What I do support is convincing Nintendo that they need to bring all the good Japanese-only games over to the rest of the world. They’ve obviously had great results bringing the more recent Famicom Wars games over as “Advance Wars,” bringing Animal Forest over as “Animal Crossing,” and of course, the four most recent Fire Emblem games.
But it seems they refuse to give us Mother 3, despite the unmistakably large taunt by including Lucas in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The people at Starmen.net have taken it upon themselves to hack into Mother 3 and translate the game, after numerous failed attempts at pleading to Nintendo, all its subsidiaries, and the creator of Mother 3 to translate it officially. This fan attempt has come along way, and now you have the first ten minutes of the game completely in English to watch above!
