Rumors from reliable sources said that a brand new Kirby! adventure was in the making for the Wii as recently as early this year. Nintendo officials even hinted that this was the case. Unfortunately for you Kirby! fans out there, the latest issue of Official Nintendo Magazine brings bad news.
The “Ask Nintendo” column responded to a query about a new Kirby! game as follows:
There are no plans right now for a Kirby game on Wii but there are plenty of Kirby fans out there, so in the meantime look out for Kirby in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl which will be released in 2008.
Come on, Nintendo. I highly doubt Brawl will satisfy anyone’s video game cravings. Give the puffball the adventure he deserves!
