Different Japanese and North American boxes for Brawl

For those of us in the US and Canada, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is less than two months away (again). Forget the fact that we would have been playing it by now had it not been delayed. Over in Japan, Wii owners will be picking this game up over two weeks ahead of us, and it will look something like the box art you see on the left here. Actually, it’ll look exactly like that.

I’m a fan of the lighter sky background, but maybe that’s just because I like light in general. Which do you like better?

    its a minor difference but i think its largely to suite the markets, in Japan the lighter happier side of being able to play as any of your favorite characters sells the game, where as in the US the darker more i’m going to kick your ass side of the game sells it.

    I am still hoping they change the cover completely. While the art is good it just doesn’t feel like a game cover to me.

    Still seems too busy of a cover. I can understand the need to show the major characters, but it just looks off somehow. Also, it wouldn’t hurt (and might sell a few more copies) if they put the third party characters on there.
