This isn’t anything huge, and those who cared probably checked and know about it. The Photo Channel on the Wii was recently updated to version 1.1, dropping MP3 support and adding AAC support. Like many of you, I was excited that the channel would be supporting better music formats. I was hoping that since AAC files can have the M4A extension, maybe other M4A formats that aren’t AAC might work.
Nope. Lossless formats such as Apple Lossless (M4A) don’t work, though they will be recognized and grayed out on the menu. FLAC files won’t show up at all, though, so don’t bother. Maybe next year.
