‘Mario & Sonic’ take first place in the United Kingdom

Guess Sega was on to something. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has ousted Brain Training from the top spot on the UK charts, becoming the best selling title across all platforms last week. Of course, a large part of why the title is doing so well is that the game is being included in Wii bundles by several retailers – also the reason why Mario Party 8 jumped from #27 the previous week to #4 last week.

Regardless, retailers and Sega alike should be feeling pretty good right now. Sega’s inching closer to their goal of having the game be one of the hottest titles this holiday, and retailers for taking advantage of the Wii shortages and forcing people to buy games against their will. Yep, Christmas spirit all around!

You can check out the top ten list after the break.
