Game Rankings moves to 3 decimals; OoT/Galaxy keep battling

Super Mario Galaxy lost its week-long hold of the title for the highest-rated game ever according to Game Rankings back in late November, but has since volleyed back and forth with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on multiple occasions. Ocarina is back on top, but only just.

In fact, it’s prompted Game Rankings to change the displayed average game ratings from going to one decimal place to going to three. As of right now, the difference between the two is a mere 0.062%, with Metroid Prime not terribly far behind as it battles the latest Half-Life compilations for the bronze medal. Damn it, Nintendo, you had to go and make so many high quality games that it’s hard for everyone to decide which is the best.

I have a feeling Super Smash Bros. Brawl will push and shove it’s way right up there with Nintendo’s best.

I’m willing to bet good money that Brawl will not break the top 5.

Oh Ho Ho! Is that a bet? Are we fighting right now? :P

What’s your reasoning? If Soul Calibur can make it why can’t Brawl? Hmmmmm? lol

I think that a ton of reviewers are going keep it in the 8.5-9.3 range for a few reasons: it really isn’t an innovative game (a huge reason why most of the top 10 games got the scores they did across the board)- and some reviewers just like to crap on every fanboy’s favorite franchise.

I have more reasons why, but that’s for another time.
