‘Tis the season for giant Mario statues
Welcome to The Tanooki’s holiday shopping guide extravaganza. I have crawled through the entire interweb (really, I have) to bring to you five days of gifts that are sure to please any Nintendo maniac. Let’s start things off right with an item that everybody needs: a five-foot tall Mario statue!
With a budget of $2600, some people would splurge and buy a 50-inch top of the line LCD television, a super-fast Mac Pro, or every current-gen console with a healthy array of games. Those people obviously don’t know how to spend their money wisely. The clear winner for this hoilday season isn’t one of those overpriced fancy pants gadgets, but rather a Mario statue that towers over Prince.
Alright, so a $2600 Mario statue might not be in your budget, but don’t feel left out quite yet. For a more reasonable $15, Mugen Toys has you covered with their slightly smaller Mario figure. Hell, for that price, go ahead and pick up Luigi or Toad to keep your new Mario figure company.
