Europe can now trade Stars for Wii Points

Nintendo of Europe has finally put common sense to use. Fans who have or build up stars can exchange them for Wii Points using the site below. You need to fill out surveys for all the products you register, but at least you can finally put those stars from buying games to use and buy more games!

There are probably not many better ways to spend your stars anyway, which are worth 4 to 1 Wii Point. You can buy some VC games while the wait for Brawl continues to drag on! Thanks to WolfeatingRaven for the heads up.

Yeah, only Nintendo of Europe offer Star Points.

they’re being cheap as fuck though. A wii, a DS and eight games earns you enough points to buy ONE snes rom. Yeah, thanks nintendo…

Yeah, I’m not overly happy with this conversion rate. Even if it is free, you’d have to buy 8 Wii or DS games to afford 1 NES game. On top of that, even though Wii points are a virtual currency, they seem to be able to run out of them. I believe there are none left at the moment.

Don’t worry though, us Euros are used to it

I don’t mean to be a dick, but DUDE!!! We don’t get shit here in America, so stop trippin’….! I would happily take a free SNES rom…. =P
