Pac-man exhibit gives “cubism” a whole new meaning

My high school AP English Lit teacher once wowed our class by re-introducing us to the wonders of the Rubik’s Cube. We were so moved that we ended up buying him a Rubik’s Mini, Cube, Revenge, and Professor as a present one holiday. It also inspired me to finally go back and learn how to solve one.

Of course, after getting my solving time down to about 45 seconds and making countless jokes among friends about lubing up my toy to do it faster, I got bored with the Rubik’s Cube and didn’t have anything better to do with it. Too bad I didn’t think of making artwork with it. The above work is from an exhibit called “The Streets of Europe” and was created by a French artist going by the alias “Space Invader.” I don’t know what I want to do first: bust out the Cube or dig up my old Pac-Man game.
