Marshall Wii gives college students everywhere an idea…

071211marshall.jpgSchool pride can be a huge part of a college student’s life. That’s why a group of students at Marshall University saw an opportunity in creating this customized green Wii sporting the Marshall logo. Tickets last week went for a dollar a piece, and about 600 of those little stubs of paper were sold by last Monday (three days before the drawing).

For those of you with ideas now spinning in your head, be careful. Your school is probably strict about the use of university logos and the like. Still, that doesn’t mean you couldn’t approach them about doing something like this as part of a fundraiser. Imagine how much money you could pull in at, say, a Big Ten school. Maybe one that recently made the Rose Bowl.

Check past the break for a video of news coverage on the event, featuring commentary from Carrie Cune and – get this – Bill Murray.
