Activision looking into Guitar Hero’s mono sound output

Rumors had suggested that Activision was pulling the Wii version of Guitar Hero III from stores until the game’s sound issues could be fixed sometime before Christmas. It’s no fun playing a music game in mono sound…especially if the tracks are in stereo. Now, Activision has stated that they’re still looking into the issue, and will announce a solution when they are ready.

“We are already looking into the issue, and rest assured, are working to offer a possible solution to our fans.”

So basically, they’re still working on a fix, and it’s becoming increasingly unlikely you’ll be rocking in stereo (on the Wii, at least) before Christmas. When a fix is available, it will likely be through a disc replacement program – that’s my guess, anyway.

Man, they just need to hurry up and replace discs in the mail already. Nintendo was pretty quick to replace Zelda TP dics, they need to hurry up and do the same.
