The best Mario cake we’ve seen yet

Published by Christian at 4:10 pm

Chugaboy’s sister, Sarah, recently got married. For the reception, this wedding cake was served in all its 8-bit glory. Here’s an interesting tidbit: the ENTIRE World 1-1 (the first level in Super Mario Bros.) wraps around the sides of the cake. What do you think, comes close to the Zelda cake in awesomeness?

We really need to commission someone to make a Super Mario Bros. 3-themed cake, with as much Tanooki goodness that can fit on it. Too bad we don’t have that kind of money.

Super Mario Bros. Level 1-1 Cake…

This has to be the epitome of cakes, Super Mario Bros. Level 1-1 wrapped around the whole cake, insane!
But wait, will this cake beat the Legend of Zelda: Wind Caker cake?

Thanks for everyone who enjoyed our cake. This is the bride of the wedding. The idea was just thrown out as an alternative to the typical(not us) wedding cake of flowers and fru fru. It snowballed into 8 bit goodness. We had an amazing baker we worked with. If you live in Iowa and want a sweet cake that’s also very tasty check out http://www.specialtycakes.net. I surprised my Husband with a Donkey Kong barrel with DK’s tie wrapped around it as a groom’s cake, once we get those photos we will post as well. Thanks everyone to taking a look. It was really difficult to cut into and see it served to all the people. But everyone loved it and its legacy lives on!
