Published by Christian at 8:18 pm under Wii

In case you haven’t checked yet, you can check out the Check Mii Out Channel right now at the Wii Shop. It’s free, takes up 90 blocks of memory, and allows you to upload your Mii creations while rating those by other Wii owners.

More screens after the break!

I’m not going to lie, the Channel has yet to meet my initial expectations. My first two impressions of it were that it was confusing and bland, although the music is awesome. It’s retarded that you need to give your Mii’s initials when you upload them and the search engine is quite useless.

Overall, I hope the Channel gets better in the next few weeks, otherwise I will be greatly disappointed.

yea the intials thing kinda makes it hard to see what mii you are looking at

Well, I also found it confusing but if you press the ‘Home’ button there is an operations manual like with VC games.

I think it’s a neat channel. It’s not something I’ll run home to use every day but it’s a fun time waster. It’ll be interesting to see how things will be once the contests start.

I’ll admit that the initials system is kinda disappointing though.

Well, the initials thing is pretty annoying yeah, but necessary. I already came across some female genitalia last night. I don’t need the full name to get what it was.

I don’t know, I guess I sort of take it as it is. I’m generally pretty pleased with it.

Yeah this channel is actually a lot better than I thought, I think that it’s pretty cool. Even though the initials are lame, if a character is good enough (when making look alikes), you don’t need to know the name.
