As long as it doesn’t interfer with the new Zelda, sure why not! I bought the Final Fantasy III remake and plan on buying the IV remake.

I think I just about cried. Yep. This would be one of the coolest things ever, being that A Link to the Past is probably the greatest Zelda game ever (if not one of the best games of all time).

I honestly don’t think it would be anything like Ocarina of Time, unless you are just going to go by the stance of “All Zelda games are technically the same”, which then I couldn’t argue with you. But as far as Zelda games go, A Link to the Past is a true heir to the Zelda legacy. It encapsulates the entirety of what made the series so superior to its competition – and then some. A Link to the Past was simply adventure at its best. No Zelda game since has captured that same tang that A Link to the Past delivered. Some have come close (Ocarina of Time, Oracle of Seasons/Ages), but this is seriously the model Zelda game. If you are to make a true-3D Zelda game, this is exactly the game you need to base it off of.
