The recent release Guitar Hero III has caused a spike in Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection activity. The rockin’ new game for the Wii resulted in well over half a million connections to Nintendo’s online service, taking the #2 spot in the worldwide Nintendo WFC chart.

  • Pokémon Diamond & Pearl (DS) – 1,455,526 connections*
  • Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Wii) – 622,580 connections
  • Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS) – 268,796 connections
  • Mario Kart DS (DS) – 242,202 connections
  • Mario Strikers Charged (Wii) – 155,239 connections
  • Metroid Prime Hunters (DS) – 154,945 connections
  • The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS) – 126,388 connections
  • Pokémon Battle Revolution (Wii) – 88,287 connections
  • Pokémon Fushigi no Dungeon Toki/Yami no Tankentai (DS) – 86,818 connections**
  • Jump! Ultimate Stars (DS) – 86,588 connections
    * Pokémon Diamond – 860,143 | Pokémon Pearl – 595,383
    ** Pokémon Dungeon Toki – 46,365 | Pokémon Dungeon Yami – 40,453

Now, I’m not one of those 622,580… I didn’t pick up the game yet. However, you’ll be able to read all about it in Matt’s upcoming review.

    Wow I didn’t know that many people are online with the Pokemon games.

    Not only that, but they’re STILL online with Pokemon games.

    I wonder where Battalion Wars 2 is on that list.
