Starting earlier today, the Japanese were able to begin pre-ordering the TV Tuner peripheral for the DS Lite. There’s only one way to obtain it though, and that’s through Nintendo’s online e-commerce store. According to Sankei News, the rush of DS owners to the site hoping to pre-order the new device first thing caused an overload on the servers and prevented some people from being able to connect to Nintendo’s Japanese website.
Pre-orders started at 1PM in Japan for ¥6,800. Those who were able to pre-order the TV Tuner will have their new toy delivered on the 20th.
