Nintendo: 200 Virtual Console games before ‘08
During the BMO Capital Markets Conference, in which Reggie was up to his old tricks, the slide you see to the right appeared, proclaiming 200 Virtual Console games by year’s end.
Right now we have 166 VC games, and with 8 more Monday morning updates on the way, we will see that number increase to 190 with the regular 3-a-week update format. So what does this all mean? Do the math. It means Nintendo plans on releasing a bit more than 4-a-week for at least a little while.
With the sheer volume of content that’s going to be available to download, it’s getting harder and harder to imagine Nintendo not releasing some sort of storage alternative in the near future. In any case, stock up on Wii points everyone!
