Sure, I might have been overjoyed when I finally made it through Slayer’s “Raining Blood” this morning, but the celebration was cut short by the most challenging moment in Guitar Hero history. That’s right, the final boss battle with Lou for “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” (Lou… Lucifer… devil, get it?!) is the worst thing that has been thrown my way in the past two years of Guitar Hero rock.
“Through the Fire and Flames” and “Jordan” might be God’s joke on our fingers, but at least those songs don’t randomly throw “broken strings,” “amp overloads,” or even worse, “lefty flips,” at you. Everything works out in the end though, because I’m sure that by the time I can defeat Lou, I’ll be able to 5-star “Freebird.” Blindfolded.
You can expect my full review (with plenty of video!) on Guitar Hero III within the week, but until then, are you enjoying the game? Assuming you have been rocking for quite some time, what are your favorite (and least favorite) songs?
