Distant Worlds (Final Fantasy) concert coming to Chicago

071102distantworlds.jpgIf you’re a Final Fantasy fan in the midwest, you probably don’t want to miss this. The Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and Festival Choir will be performing the United States premiere of Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy on March 1, 2008 at 8 pm at The Rosemont Theatre. Arnie Roth will be conducting while composer Nobuo Uematsu will be making a special guest appearance as the producer of the program, which will include music from Final Fantasy all the way through Final Fantasy XI.

You’ll be able to buy tickets online, on the phone, through the box office, or Ticketmaster. If you spring for the $150 ticket, you’ll be able to meet Mr. Uematsu himself after the concert, and you’ll receive a special tour program book along with a copy of the Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy CD. It’s not the CSO, but it should definitely be a worthwhile performance!
