I agree games just haven't been for children for years. But as with all newscasting and journalism it usually is never completely about the facts.

Honestly I don't see what the fuss is, I played this game on the Wii for 3 hours last night, and there are probably a dozen or more games more violent than this. This game was censored pretty hard in my opinion, you can't even see the executions. It's pretty embarrassing that the UK actually banned this game.

On a side note though, it would have been cool to have had "Sledgehammer" practice when I was a kid. It would have been a hell of a lot easier to help my dad break up the concrete in our front yard when we replaced some sidewalk with a little more practice. Hehe

The argument here is not whether the game is too violent, the argument is whether games are designed for children or adults? (or both). Clearly, it's not just kiddies playing games anymore, everyone is.

The problem isn't that horrible games are being marketed towards children, it's that the laws surounding the sale of video games are not enforced strong enough. It's the same thing as cigarettes though; cigarettes will find their way into the hands of children.

People just need to understand that games are not just for children anymore, and take the time and effort to make sure that the adult-oriented games don't find their way into their hands.
