Boy Saves Game Boy Advance from California Fires
Time recently posted an interesting photo essay featuring survivors of the fires that are currently devastating Southern California. These images show not only the people who were forced to abandon their homes, but also what important personal items they brought with them. The boy shown above is Danyelle Miller, and he chose to save his Game Boy Advance SP as he escaped with his family from their home.
What about you, readers? If you were in Danyelle’s situation and were forced to flee your home, would you bring something gaming related with you?

I am from Fallbrook, Ca and my entire town was evacuated Monday the 22nd, and one of the things took with me as I fled was my wii.
oh no thats a hard question, i’d grab a suitcase and fill it with as many consoles as i could, guess i’d have to leave my pc behind :(
Pfft don’t worry about your PC as long as you have your Wii thats all ya need right? And some WiFi.
While the DS is the best piece of plastic and silicon I’ve ever had the pleasure to own… I’d probably end up taking the Compy. Too much life invested in the old thing.
As much as I love my Wii and DS, I would have to grab my Macbook. It is much more expensive hehe.
But then again I could just shove my DSLite in my pocket (Assuming I wear pants to bed hehe), then with my left hand grab my Ibanez SR-505.
why would you need wii fit when you are running from fire, i can see that as a motive for excercise lol
If the Wii had an external hard drive, I would just pull that so I could easily grab my data/VC games.
But alas, it doesn’t, so my Powerbook it is.
