Spore takes root in Spring 2008
Looks like Spore might actually available in the foreseeable future. In an interview with Radio 5 Live, Spore creator Will Wright explain that they “have the game fully playable at this point and it’s in final testing.” The game is expected to be released within six months.
“We’ve had to do a lot of testing to make sure that the game is accessible by a wide group of people. I want the people who have played The Sims to be able to play Spore - I don’t want it to be some thing just hardcore gamers play,” explained Wright. It’s a good thing too, with the ambitious god-simulator game coming to the Nintendo DS and its varied userbase. It’s been ages since a huge, original Will Wright masterpiece, and this one couldn’t come soon enough.

You didn’t mention it coming to the Wii.
