Derek Robertson and the Scottish Centre for Games and Learning have released their results from a study finding that brain training games can positively effect students’ behavior and learning. One group of students used Brain Training (Brain Age here in North America), another used a “Brain Gym” of physical activities said to promote learning abilities, and the third group of students served as a control. Those in the Brain Training group saw a better improvement in test completion time than the other groups and saw a significant improvement in test scores.
Parents, it’s time to fork over the $20 and pick up the Brain Age game or sequel of your choice. Those of you in middle or high school, start training now and maybe you could get into some great schools. College students? Pick up the games and salvage what you can of your academic career. It’s almost too late for you.
Just kidding.
