Recently, details have surfaced about Family Ski for the Wii from Namco Bandai, which will allow players to use their Wii remote and nunchuck like ski poles as they make their way down a virtual, snow-covered mountain. The game is scheduled for a winter 2007-2008 release in Japan, and will allow up to four players to compete simultaneously. Early images of the game show a simple, Mii-like design for the playable skiers, indicating that this title is most likely intended for a more casual audience. As we’ve seen in the past, though, just because a game is casual doesn’t mean that it can’t be a lot of fun, especially if the control scheme works well.
