New Cakes on the Block: The Mario question block

I’ll admit it, I haven’t had too much experience in block tasting (nevermind those LEGOs when I was six), but I’m ready to jump onto the scene with this sinful block cake from the Sweet Tease blog.

Unlike most cakes, the creator actually gives us some insight on what goes into the making of the illustrious game cake. The block is made from a yellow cake coated with gold fondant and the other elements are cut from different color fondants. Bonus points for the pixel perfect coins and 1-up mushroom.

Am I the only one who wonders how these gaming cakes actually taste? Probably.

ditto here, actually more like hope they taste….edible at least, usually fondant is kinda nasty….the real challenge would be making one that would both taste good and look good…..>_>
