The Tanooki’s Daily Recap – October 15, 2007

Talk about your history making days. It was a toss-up between writing about Drew Carey’s first day as host of The Price is Right or giving a nod to the National League champs, the Colorado Rockies. Let’s do both!

While I haven’t seen today’s episode of TPIR yet, I’ve been following the Drew Carey switch for several months now and I have come to the following conclusion: I don’t mind Drew Carey as the new host. Sure, he isn’t Bob, but that is a good thing. There is only one Bob Barker in the world, so it was smart for the producers to find a fresh face for the show as opposed to seeking out some Bob Barker imitating fool. Oh, and I really dig the new set.

Holy crap, what about those Rockies? The Rockies have won 20 of their last 21 games. Talk about domination. In fact, they are on pace to have the most dominating playoff appearance in post season history. Bonus points to anybody who correctly guesses the team that only lost one game of their entire playoff run to a World Series championship.
