New Smash Bros Brawl Scans- Lucas’ Non-Ness Moves.

Published by Jonathan at 9:54 pm

When Lucas from Mother 3, (the Japan only sequel to Earthbound), was announced as a playable character in Smash Bros Brawl, fans of Earthbound and it’s protagonist had cause for both celebration and nail biting tension. GASP! Was Lucas there to replace Ness? Say it aint so!

Ness’ fans may find these newly released scans depicting some of Lucas’ fighting moves to be a glimmer of hope, considering that they depict Lucas fighting with moves that are nothing like Ness’ from Smash Bros Melee. So here is proof non-believers, Lucas will not be a clone of Ness, and as such both may end up having a place in the final line-up for Brawl (fingers crossed).

And regardless of what this news means for Ness, don’t these moves just look cool? The snake move is taken directly from a hookshot-like device used by Lucas and his party in Mother 3, and according to a translation of the Japanese text in one scan, the fireworks-esque move is called “PK Love”.

    Thanks everyone!

Just last night I got word that I am now a member of the Tanooki family, and I started off with this story, one that I hadn’t seen anywhere else. I’m still learning Word Press, so forgive that lack of centering of my pics and the fact that the links in my page are not active.

I’ll try to make you and the rest of the Tanooki proud.

    :)
