Not long after Nintendo of America’s George Harrison and Beth Llewlyn had announced their intentions to leave the company, Perrin Kaplan, Nintendo of America’s Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Affairs, has confirmed that she will also be leaving this year. The departure will be a result of Nintendo of America’s desire to move their Sales and Marketing division to San Francisco and New York, out of the subsidiary’s base in Redmond, Washington.
“I finally will be leaving Nintendo at the end of the year. Until then, I am focused on getting a great transition team in place and handling all of my normal responsibilities as well,” said Kaplan in an e-mail to Reuters. Kaplan has been with Nintendo of America for 15 years.
While Llewelyn has already left the company (effective after September 28th), Kaplan, like Harrison, will stay with the company for a few months as Nintendo prepares to move her division to the San Francisco area. She’ll be helping to make it a smooth transition for the company and for fans, who wait patiently to find out who the new faces of Nintendo of America will be. A job listing for Kaplan’s position had been up by late July.
