Not exactly. You see, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata spoke this morning and told reporters at the press conference that over 100 games have been submitted for review by third party developers. It will be interesting to see how many of them will see the light of day, but even if Nintendo cuts 75% of the titles we’d be left with a considerable amount of games.
This not only shows that Nintendo is gathering more and more third party weight and throwing it on the Wii Train, but it also seems likely that a good amount of these games are being developed by the Indie community. Point being that the claims that the lower development costs of the Wii would attract more Indie developers and allow for a much higher degree of creativity are true.
