The Tanooki’s Daily Recap – October 10, 2007

I can’t remember the last time that a Wednesday was filled with this much news. While the majority of you were celebrating Sonic’s official entry into Brawl, the party was cut short with the announcement of Brawl being delayed until January 24 in Japan. A North American delay is still not official, but seeing a TBD for a once concrete release date is just sketchy. Today’s news is a lot like your girlfriend buying you a bunch of games and cooking you a great meal before confessing that she cheated on you. Twice.

However, after hearing some feedback, I can tell that I’m not the only one that doesn’t mind this delay. With so many games coming out this holiday, I was actually hoping that Nintendo would save something for 2008 aside from Mario on a crotch rocket and future balance board humiliation. Brawl just might do the trick. Does this mean that the Smash Bros. updates will continue for at least another month? Oh my…

Sonic aside, I was pleased to see the announcement of Super Mario Stadium Baseball. If anyone is going to deliver the first perfect motion controlled sports experience on the Wii (sorry, Strikers doesn’t count in the States), it might as well be Nintendo. EA and 2K Sports, be prepared to take some notes.
