Possible ‘Brawl’ delay in North America?

What’s the first thing you notice in this screenshot? You know, after you get past the first, giant, official picture of Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

071010smashdelay1.jpgWe know for a fact that Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been delayed in Japan until January. Luckily, the Japanese will be getting Wii Fit on December 1st to tide them over. Over here in North America, we’re not getting Wii Fit until next year, so Brawl better not be delayed. It can’t happen…Reggie promised, right?

Maybe not so. The game hasn’t officially been delayed in North America, but the Release Date listing which had been changed to December 3rd following the E3 revelation of the date has now been updated to say “TBD.” Not good news, but not necessarily bad news…yet.

    You know what? This doesn’t bother me. Given everything we know they’re putting into this game, they have a lot to perfect.

    If they find they don’t need to change the date then good. If they find they need a little longer to work on it, hey, I’ll be in line on Christmas Eve waiting if I have to.

    Still, it’s not very professional for Nintendo to give us a solid release date (which was big news when it was announced), then go back on their word.

    Yeah it sucks, but would you rather have garbage (Like rushed out Xbox 360s), or a outstanding SSBB experience? And yeah it is bad karma to go back on your word, but seriously Nintendo always HAS changed release dates for games/systems for decades. I’m honestly impressed that they have kept some big release dates this year. In all honesty, I am a little glad it got moved, we have a FLOOD of games comming in November that need attention before SSBB steals it all the heat.

    Part of me hopes it does get delayed… so Europeans and Americans can enjoy the Brawl experience at the same time :P

    That is true, November is gonna be one big month of gaming. So many fabulous games coming out.

    With Fire Emblem and Galaxy, and not to mention all the games on the other systems, along with the fact that I couldn’t play SSBB for a while after it came out due to personal commitments, news of a delay is (surprisingly) welcome.
