The Battalion Wars series actually stems from the Advance Wars games many of you are familiar with, which in turn have roots with Nintendo’s Famicom console from long before the Game Boy Advance. A new developer for the series on consoles, however, took the series in bold new directions, including transforming the game’s traditional turn-based gameplay into a real-time system.
Now, the Wii brings us Battalion Wars 2, set for release at the very end of this month. Longtime fans and newcomers alike should look forward to what this game has to offer. While we can’t give you a playable demo, we do have about eight screens for you to check out after the break. Afterwards, let us know if this game is on your shopping list!
