We already know about Super Mario Galaxy‘s inclusion of a new Bee Mario and Boo Mario from screenshots. Nintendo Power claimed several months ago that Fire Flower Mario would indeed be making a comeback. This screen from the Galaxy website reveals at least 6 suits in the game, with three spots obviously up for grabs.
While most of us would probably rather see more new than old, provided that the new ones are amazing, the game is clearly paying homage to Super Mario Bros. 3 in countless ways. What better to represent the classic game in Galaxy‘s suits than to bring back Tanooki Mario? Raccoon Mario, Frog Mario, Tanooki Mario, and Sledgehammer Mario would all be great choices, but there’s just something about the Tanooki Suit that fans just love.
