Retail distributors have found a new Wii SKU on file (currently being referred to as “New Pack”) for an expected release soon, according to Codename Revolution. The new UPC code, which is indeed owned by Nintendo of America, is 045496880088.
Before you all go jumping to conclusions and speculating on new color schemes for the holiday period or, worse, a Wii 2, keep in mind that Nintendo will be shipping all future Wii consoles with an added accessory now: the Wii Remote Jacket. I’m not an expert on the whole retail business, but I think it’s safe to say that the addition will warrant a new SKU entry. Of course, there’s the slight possibility that I could be wrong.
