Those of you who were looking forward to Nyko’s ultimate gaming accessory, the Nyko Party Station, you might want to brace yourself. The product will never make it to store shelves, according to the company.
Nyko had planned on including several features in the station. It would have served as a holder for all four sets of your Wii remotes and nunchuks as well as your chips and dips. The Party Station had four LED score keeping displays, four freezable coolers for your drinks, and even a cooling fan. The plan was to sell the product for $24.99, but Nyko has now sent out the disappointing news that all the necessary parts would cost them about $50 per unit.
Until that number can be cut by more than half, the Nyko Party Station for the Wii is, for all intents and purposes, dead. But hey, now you can be creative and make your own party station, right? Send us a picture!
