Over two months ago, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime told GameHead’s Geoff Keighley that more surprises would be on the way for Nintendo fans, with one coming by the end of September. Sure, there have been some nice announcements this month, but we haven’t gotten any huge news specifically about the Wii. When most people expect a surprise, there’s a lot of speculation, but Nintendo always gives fans something out of left field – something no one could have predicted and yet something we fans slap ourselves for not thinking of sooner.
So it’s September 30th, and Nintendo of America doesn’t seem to do much on weekends. Are we going to get that surprise still? Are we going to get it eventually this year? Or did we already get it, but it was so insignificant that we didn’t notice?
