Intelligent Systems had a playable, early build of a second Advance Wars game on the DS at the Micromania Games Show 2007 in Paris, France. The game sports a whole new cast of characters from the first game, and actually sports a completely new look as well. Remember the cartoony look of recent Advance Wars games? Gone. Now, you’ll get to see the series take on a darker, realistic graphical style. Overall, it will resemble previous games – it’ll just have a new look.
The rest of the game was very clearly in early stages, and a lot of the combat animation looked rough. However, it seems that new units will be making an appearance, as a bike infantry unit was included in the demo. No more is known about the game.
