That's the big problem, not the reliability. Just look at Super Smash Bros Brawl, the only thing it has is the ability to battle others online. Which would be fine, except for those damned friend codes. In any case, you're right: Nintendo doesn't necessarily have a problem, its just they have such a good thing going it would be a shame for them to ignore one of the biggest things going on in gaming.
