Ubisoft to publish No More Heroes in North America

070920nomoreheroes.jpgUbisoft has announced their intention to bring Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture’s No More Heroes to North America. The game will be published by Ubisoft and released in February, a mere two months after the game sees its Japanese release.

“Ubisoft is excited to be bringing Suda 51′s latest adventure to gamers in North America,” said Jay Cohen, Ubisoft’s VP of publishing. “Suda 51 is one of the most creative minds in gaming and No More Heroes is shaping up to be a visually stunning and immersive game with an extremely engaging storyline players will no doubt be drawn to.”

Players will take control of Travis Touchdown and his quest to murder the world’s elite assassins, in an effort to become the best himself. The game will have all of the content found in its Japanese counterpart, and will not be censored in any way. The game has received an “M” rating from the ESRB.

Ubisoft to Publish Suda 51′s “No More Heroes” Video Game Exclusively for Wii

San Francisco – September 20, 2007 – Today, Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that it will publish No More HeroesTM, the highly anticipated action game by acclaimed game designer Goichi Suda (Suda 51) and his studio Grasshopper Manufacture, Inc. No More Heroes will arrive at retailers in North America for February 2008, exclusively for the WiiTM home video game system from Nintendo®.

No More Heroes tells the story of Travis Touchdown, an anime fan who lives in the fictional town of Santa Destroy, California. After an unexpected turn of events, Travis finds himself at the bottom of an Assassins’ organization. Travis will have to prove himself worthy and defeat 10 other bloodthirsty killers – all with deep stories of their own – to make his way to the top of the assassin’s league.

No More Heroes realizes the dream of Wii players everywhere, as they can wield the Wii RemoteTM to swing Travis’ beam katana and perform spectacular wrestling moves. Suda 51′s creation features avant-garde graphics that will thrust players into a stylized world filled with edgier gameplay.
