While I can’t verify this being the case right now anywhere else in the world (my TV is currently being used), at least Europe is getting some updated VC games. Select early VC games had display problems when played using the Wii Component Cables. Eventually, newer VC games came Component Cable-compatible, but the older games were left as is.
Now, games such as Kirby’s Adventure, Donkey Kong, and Military Madness have updated versions that can be downloaded. The new versions have fixed the issues with component compatibility. Unfortunately, other games like Super Mario World and Sonic the Hedgehog still do not work with the Wii Component Cable.
Again, this news comes from Europe, so it may or not apply elsewhere.
