Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games trailer from TGS ’07

Sega has released a brand new trailer from Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for the Tokyo Game Show. The trailer itself reconfirms some of the games characters and events, and shows off some new ones. Looks like Cream’s in charge of the gun, a Koopa Troopa in charge of the camera, and Espio of…officiating? Wario, Yoshi, and Daisy join Mario’s side of the team, while Amy Rose, Shadow, and Blaze help Sonic’s cause.

Mario & Sonic is set to become one of the most popular games for the entire family this holiday, and it can’t come soon enough.

    I think that the dash with Mario and Sonic neck and neck is never going to happen. Sonic is way faster than Mario. They probably nerfed Sonic a bit for the games

    They’ve given Mario an average speed for the game, but also average acceleration. Sonic’s top speed is through the roof, but the developers said his acceleration is going to suck.

    I guess they took out Sonic’s true speed for the sake of the game..being that i grew up with Sonic, he would be my choice for the dash.

    I actually hadn’t given this game much thought up until I saw this trailer, it looks terrific. All I need is some solid gameplay vid’s, and I’ll be sold.

    Yeah I mean if they had sonic just be what he usualy is everyone is gonna want to be him for the 100 meter so they have to balance him out some way. I mean if they just made him average speed average acceleration then that would suck but really fast speed but slower acceleration thats more like sonic.
