More Wii Lightsaber teasing

When the Wiimote was revealed, the idea going through everyone’s head was that it was perfect for a lightsaber game. At first Lucasarts was very quite about a potential game, but recently they’ve opened up a bit stating that they have something beyond the Lego Star Wars series in store for Wii owners. Now we get further confirmation that there’s something to look forward to.

During a demonstration of its upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga for Wii, LucasArts’ Mark Montuya commented today that the game’s motion-sensitive lightsaber action is “just a taster” for a future release involving motion-sensitive lightsaber combat.

Let’s hope for the real deal. Not just another old IP with tacked on motion-controls.

I know this is probably a real long shot and I mean REAL long shot. But what about KOTOR for the Wii? It would be difficult and take very long to make but in the end it would own.

KOTOR is a great franchise, and I think that it certainly has potential on the Wii.

The Hero of the game uses either a gun or a sword/lightsaber. We know that the Wii is perfect for the FPS genre, and I’m sure Bioware can come up with something entertaining to handle the lightsaber/sword side of things. So it would definitely work. The question is, can bioware make a console game for a non-Microsoft system?

    I hope so..

Bioware has stated that they were not working on KOTOR 3, and if they were they didn’t know about it.
