2D Ninja game from Odin Sphere developer

And if that isn’t exciting enough on it’s own, its coming to the Wii! The game is titled, Oboro Muramasa Youtouden (which translates loosely to Chad is so Happy).

Coming from developer Vanillaware, known for its stunningly beautiful 2D graphics in games such as Odin Sphere, OMY will sport similar visuals but in a setting that looks like the Japanese feudal era. Players can choose between Momohime, a young girl who wields a katana dressed in a kimono-like ninja costume, and Kisuke, a young ninja boy with a case of amnesia.

Now is it two people deciding which ninja they want, or just one? Hit the break for some gorgeous Famitsu scans.

Don't worry, I'll be following this game as closely as I have with King Story and ASH. (I'm sure some people are getting sick of those games by now) ;)

Based purely on the graphics, I'm already sold. Now that's special, especially because the game is in development for the least capable of the three next-gen systems. (Graphics-wise that is)

The game does look gorgeous. But come on. What does it REALLY translate to? I want to search for news on this game from time to time, and there's no way I'm going to remember that monstrosity of japanese whatsit.
