Following previous rumors that Alvin would be getting some new games later this year, we get official word that he, Simon, and Theodore will be coming to the Wii and Nintendo DS this December. Brash Entertainment will be bringing the new rhythm/music game to the most popular platforms to coincide with the upcoming Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Players will get to enjoy a Guitar Hero-like gameplay as the trio makes their way from dances and proms, to arenas and forest stadiums, all the way up to Rockathonapalooza.

Among the forty-ish tracks spanning several decades will be Blink 182’s “All The Small Things,” Run DMC’s “It’s Tricky” and REM’s “Shiny Happy People” all covered by Alvin and the Chipmunks. The game will be released on December 4th, with the movie to follow ten days afterwards. I’m sure you won’t be busy with any other games that week.
